The Festival of Lights!

My mom, step-dad, younger brother Jonathan, and younger sister's Brandi and Kelleigh Dawn came up from Kentucky to spend their two week Christmas break with us. It really was a lot of fun and good times with great family. My mom had a lot of stuff planned for us to do, to keep us busy and enjoy the holidays together. We went to see the Festival of Lights on the 27th of December, and there was a lot of neat lights. They really did a great job!

This was so far away, but so nicely done!
The globe!
..and some penguins. This suited the occassion fabulously, seeing as it was literally freezing outside.

More birthday fun!

Tessa really likes birthday's so we relit the candles so that she could have a turn blowing them out!
Makenzie got so excited for Auntie Miche's birthday!

Birthday time!

Since Auntie Miche's birthday and Kaiden's birthday are only 3 days apart, and Nanny and Papaw and the family wasn't going to be in Connecticut until the 20th of December we decided to have a small joint party for both of them.
Makenzie helped Nanny do the cake decorating! (I don't know why they are coming out sideways, sorry)

Nanny and Makenzie brought the cakes out to Auntie Miche and Kaiden. They did a really good job decorating them!
Landon really enjoyed when we sang "Happy Birthday"

Happy 2nd Birthday Kaiden!

My handsome son Kaiden,
It really is so hard to believe that you are two already. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of you getting there though. I just don't know where the time has gone. You are such a happy, loving, energetic boy. I couldn't ask for a better son. You light up my day every morning, and you make everyone around you smile! You love being with Makenzie and doing anything she does, and also too have become very independant. You still are not liking the idea that she has to go to school, and you get so excited when we pick her up, as if she was gone for weeks at a time. You still are pretty good about your naps, and would prefer sleeping with Daddy every night. You definitely are Daddy's buddy, but you have your "only Mommy" times too! It seems like only yesterday we were taking you home from the hospital and you were so tiny. These past two years have just gone by way too fast. Although you are officially a toddler, Mommy still likes to call you a baby.
I am really very excited to see you grow up, I just hope it goes by much slower than these past two years have. I want to see your blue eyes, blonde hair, cute smile and charming looks forever! You really are such a sweet, perfect son Kaiden!
Love you,
Mommy

Cousins!

Makenzie, Kaiden, Matt and Linda with their cousins. Mikey, Emma and Grace!
Makenzie and Kaiden loved Uncle Mike's and Aunt Danielle's Christmas tree. It snowed!
Uncle Mike and Makenzie. Maybe she does have some Ramcke traits after all. Look at her cheecks, chin, nose and forehead!
Makenzie had a great time with Grace. She let her color and play with her Littlest Pet Shop toys!
Emma is such a sweetheart! We really don't see them often enough ;(

A visit with the cousins!

A few days after Thanksgiving we stopped by Bill's brother's house to visit with them for a while, and it was so nice. I really can't believe how big they got so quickly! Here is Makenzie's cousin Grace letting Makenzie give the clarinet a try. It is almost as big as she is!
The boys had a bunch of fun on the Wii. Here is my step-son Matt playing with Mikey!
The last time we took a picture of Aunt Danielle with Makenzie was when she still had her feeding tubs and stuff ;( Look how much Makenzie has grown now!

Cousin Emma will make such a perfect Mom someday. She was so good with Kaiden and Kaiden loves her!

For whatever reason this picture came out sideways, but it is a great picture of Landon wearing Uncle Bill's hat. He really likes Uncle Bill!
Uncle Bill even let's him play with spoons!
Tessa had fun showing Bill what all was in Makenzie's purse... like Kaiden's tools!
Such a peanut!
