A night out with the girls!

As all of you mother's out there know, you need a break every once in a while. So that's exactly what I did, took a break and hung out with my friends. We had a great night, my friends and I kid free. It was fantastic. MUCH NEEDED!

Tuesday's with Tessa

One Tuesday, Tessa was at Mimi's and she played with Kaiden, she likes giving him kisses, and she always makes sure he has his bottle. She is gonna be a great big sister!

Tessa can't wait for Kaiden to wake up from his nap so she can have someone to play with.
Kaiden has to refuel, so he is supercharged with more energy for playing with Tessa.

Mimi watches Kaiden for me on Tuesday's while Makenzie goes to figure skating lessons and he has a blast.

9 MONTH'S

Kaiden went to the doctor's yesterday for his 9 month check up and he weighed 19 lbs. 9oz. (40th percentile) and is 28 1/2 in. long (70th percentile) and his head I forgot the cm but it was in 60th percentile. Makenzie playing on the floor with her Barbie Peek-a-boo doll that she got for going PP on the potty!

Waking up Makenzie

Kaiden has the technique down pat. He knows exactly what to do to wake her up!

He's been doing this for a while now and I was wandering why all of the sudden she was waking up at 7:30 am shortly after he does. I had fed him, changed him and put him in his walker to cruise around while I made myself breakfast, I walked back through their room and saw him like this, laughing. Sure enough, she woke up. And as long as Kaiden is the only one waking her up, then she won't be crabby, but only he can wake her up! It's cute too cause at night when they go to bed, he will pull the bumper down, so that he can watch to see if she is sleeping or not, and he falls asleep looking through the rails.

gymnastics with the big girls

On bring a friend day which was for a week at gymnastics Makenzie got to go with her friend Grace to the big girl class. We still have to work on her waiting in line and taking turns, so for now she is going to stay in the mommy and me class. We will see where we stand come January when it is time for enrollment for another season.

Super Socks!

Makenzie gets her socks personally made for her and we like to show them off. The mother's at gymnastics are always eager to see which socks she has on.

Thanks Aunt Sandy for my socks. I like the beads the best! They match my shoes.

then it was on to finger painting...

more finger painting friends. It was funny because 5 of the mothers there were pregnant, 2 had just had their babies, and myself and Makenzie's friends mom were the only ones that weren't. All 7 of the other mothers are all having/had girls!
Kaiden just relaxed in his stroller and made sure that everyone was doing it right. At first he told me that he wanted to paint, so we tried it, but he wanted to eat it...he then became a spectator.
Makenzie was very happy that she moved onto her second color Purple.

Fun Finger Painting Fridays

We had a very busy day on Friday, Makenzie was invited to her friends house for a play date to do finger painting. It was her first time being allowed to make as big a mess as she pleased and she was loving every minute of it.

The day started with a race around the yard in cars, of course having to stop every now and then for Mom pictures....

Then she climbed to the top of the playscape, and boy that was a long way up...
she stopped at the top for a breather and I was right there with the camera

PLAY DATE!!

Kaiden is so good about riding in the car, he doesn't mind it one bit, and he is super excited that he hit 20 pounds and is now able to face forward in a "big boy" carseat!

Makenzie was so happy that she got to go to Grace's house for a play date!
